# Avici CLI & MCP

Connect your Avici account to AI assistants including ChatGPT, Codex, and Claude.

Once connected, you can ask your agent about your wallet, cards, balances, spending, and refunds.

> **Desktop setup required**
>
> Avici cannot currently be set up from a mobile app or mobile browser.
>
> * The Avici CLI requires a supported desktop agent or local terminal.
> * Avici MCP must be configured through ChatGPT or Claude in a desktop browser.

### What Avici can show

Your agent can securely read:

* Your total wallet balance
* Token holdings grouped by network
* Your Avici card details (CLI only)
* Available card spending power
* Recent card purchases
* Transaction activity
* Refunds

### Choose how to connect

#### Avici CLI

Use the CLI when your AI agent can run commands on your computer.

Recommended for:

* ChatGPT Desktop with Codex
* Claude Code
* Other agents with terminal access

The CLI runs locally and signs you in by scanning a QR code with the Avici mobile app.

#### Avici MCP for Claude

Use the Avici MCP connector for Claude or Claude Desktop.

Setup is completed from Claude in a desktop browser. Login uses your Avici email and a one-time code.

#### Avici MCP for ChatGPT

Use the Avici MCP app for regular ChatGPT chats.

Setup is completed from ChatGPT in a desktop browser through developer mode. Login uses your Avici email and a one-time code.

### Read-only access

All current Avici CLI and MCP capabilities are read-only.

They cannot:

* Send or withdraw money
* Swap or bridge assets
* Top up an account
* Transfer funds
* Approve transactions
* Change your card or account settings

> **MCP beta**
>
> Avici is not yet approved in the official ChatGPT and Claude plugin directories. For now, Avici MCP must be added as a custom server.
>
> Custom MCP support is also in beta. The official Avici plugin is coming soon.

### Example questions

After connecting, try asking:

* “What is my Avici wallet balance?”
* “Show my holdings by network.”
* “How much can I spend on my card?”
* “Show my recent card purchases.”
* “Have I received any refunds?”

Choose the relevant setup guide from the sidebar to connect Avici to your preferred AI assistant.
