# Eligible spending & exclusions

Only eligible card spending earns referral rewards and counts toward the two $100 spending requirements.

## The two spending requirements

| Who             | Requirement                                                                            | Time limit                                        |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Referred friend | Spend $100 in eligible transactions to qualify as a referral                           | Within 30 days of completing profile verification |
| Referrer        | Spend $100 in eligible, settled transactions on their own card to unlock reward claims | No time limit                                     |

## Excluded merchant categories

These transactions do **not** earn referral rewards or count toward either $100 requirement.
